Dear Colleagues:

The National Evaluation and Technical Assistance Center for Neglected and Delinquent Youth (NDTAC) is pleased to announce a new edition of our Web site, www.neglected-delinquent.org. This month NDTAC is focusing on the improvement of Data Collection processes at facilities and institutions serving youth who are N or D. Our new additions include:

Spotlight on Data Collection: This month we feature the new Data Collection module of NDTAC’s Self-Study Toolkit, which is designed to help teachers and administrators formalize the collection and use of student data to improve programming and meet Federal reporting requirements. We also provide an overview of the Federal E-Rate program, which can help some N or D facilities purchase the technology needed to improve their collection systems and processes. more >>

Topic Library: Visit our updated Assessment & Data Systems library page to view all of our data collection resources including strategies and models, recent events and presentations on the topic, and more.

Reading List:  NDTAC's Reading List features a report by The American Youth Policy Forum which highlights several local and State-level programs providing effective and efficient juvenile justice reform measures.

Funding Resources: We’ve updated our grant information with new funding opportunities from USED.  We will also update information about opportunities from other Federal departments and foundations in the coming months. more >>

Site Map & Search Functionality:  To improve usability and ease navigation through the growing site, we have added a graphical Site Map and Google search technology.

Want to see something else on NDTAC's Web site? Let us know! Send comments, questions, and requests to Pablo De la Huerta at pdelahuerta@air.org. Also, help spread the word about NDTAC and www.neglected-delinquent.org by forwarding this message, recommending our listserv, or by linking to the site.
